Kerala announce 40 probables for Santosh Trophy Camp

Preliminary rounds of the competition is expected to start in December. Former Indian international and State Bank of Travancore football coach V.P Shaji is the head coach for the team.

Tamil Nadu, football, soccer, association, team, santosh trophy, manjeri, south zone, 2014, 2015,  Tamil Nadu football Association (TFA) has announced a 20 member squad for the 69th National football championship played for the Santosh Trophy. Tamil Nadu will play the south zone qualifiers at the MSDC stadium in Manjeri. Tamil Nadu is in Group B along with Services and Pondicherry. Tamil Nadu will kick off their South Zone campaign when they meet Pondicherry on the 18th of January.

South-Zone Santosh Trophy to Kick Off in Manjeri

Santosh Trophy, Football, South Zone, North-East Zone, East Zone, West Zone, North ZoneMore football to Malappuram this season and deservedly so. After the state inter-district, south zone national sub junior championships, Malappuram is next going to witness South Zone Santosh Trophy Championship.

69th National Football Championship for Santosh Trophy  2014-15 (South Zone) will  be held at MDSC Stadium, Manjeri, Malappuram from 15th – 20th January 2015. An organizing Committee is formed with K. P. Anilkumar ,Minister for tourism as Chairman and V. M. Ummer Master MLA as General Convener. Ommen  Chandy, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Kerala will inaugurate the qualifying south zone matches by 6.30 PM on Thursday,15th of January. The inaugural match will be played between Kerala and Andhra Pradesh.

Bengal down Jharkhand, Mizoram beat Meghalaya in Zonal finals

Sub-Junior, Football, National, Championship, The Coca Cocla Cup, 2014-15, AIFF, Soccer, U-17, World Cup, Scouting, Zonal, Final, Round, South ZoneWest Bengal, Mizoram, Jharkhand, Meghalaya, Chandigarh and Haryana are the six teams so far to have qualified for the Final Round of the Sub-Junior CocaCola Cup.

First-half goals from Arnab Negi and Abhijit Mondal in the 18th and 36th minute respectively helped West Bengal – who qualified from East Zone Group B with maximum points – down gritty Jharkhand who until the final match had plundered no less than 19 goals in two matches. According to the rules, Jharkhand also qualified for the final round as the second team from East Zone.

Mizoram on the other hand rode on a second-half brace from Jerry Laldinpuia either side of a strike from Larry Lalrinalawma to beat Meghalaya by three goals and make the cut. Meghalaya similarly qualified as the second team.

In the North Zone, Chandigarh and Haryana will fight it out for the Zonal finals, with both teams booking their places in the final round.

Manjeri to host South Zone Sub Junior National Championship 2014-15‏

The district is high on a  win in the inter-district football championship that took place at the Kottapady stadium. Football is back again and this time it is to Manjeri, the venue for last year’s Federation cup that saw huge turn out.

South Zone Sub Junior National Championship for Coca Cola Cup 2014-15 will  be conducted at Malappuram District Sports Council Ground at Manjeri from 12th to 22nd December 2014. 5 teams including Kerala, Tamil Nadu , Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh & Pondicherry will be competing in the championship.
