NISA crowned Champions of 8th Manipur State League

The North Imphal Sporting Association (NISA) clinched the title of 8th Manipur State League after defeating the defending title winners SSU Singjamei in penalty shoot out.

The match ended in a stalemate 1-1 after SSU managed to take the lead in the 18th minutes and NISA equalizing in the 27th minute through a penalty. In the ensuing penalty shoot out NISA emerged winners 6-4.

Winners NISA take home Khumukcham Joykisan Singh Trophy with a cash prize of Rs 2 lakhs and the runners up SSU received Rs 1 lakh and Kh Leonlee Devi Trophy.

Kh Satish, adjudged top scorer with 9 goals in the league wins the Martin Khumukcham Trophy and INR 20000 cash prize. Md. Imran Khan of SSU adjudged the player of the tournament gets Jemsun Khumukcham Trophy and INR 20000 cash prize.
