According to reports, Kozhikode District Football Association (KDFA) will conduct a district Schools Football League this year. DSFL will have twenty teams playing in the home and away format.

If everything goes according to plan, the league will kick off on November 1st. KDFA has received entries from 30 odd schools and 20 schools, including Malabar Christian College Higher Secondary School, St. Joseph’s Boy’s Higher Secondary School and Zamorins HSS are confirmed for the league participation.

Any school which has a good ground and a “D” licensed coach can take part in the league. However, these norms have been relaxed as of now, since many schools lack “D” licensed coaches.

The champion school from the district league will win a prize money of 10000 Rs and will secure entry to the state level competition.
